Art is Life Augusta

How does Augusta Ballet approach its vision to inspire and unite the world through dance? We strive to exhibit dance in all of its forms, but of the absolute highest quality by world standards. Latin dance is extremely fashionable at the moment and Ballet Hispanico (est. 1970) is the FOREMOST dance representative of Hispanic culture in the United States.  Case in point, its founding Artistic Director, Tina Ramirez, was awarded the National Medal of Art by President George W. Bush. Frou-frou aside, we promise your heart will be pumping and THAT is exactly what we’re after: that miraculous moment one is happy to be living right here in Augusta with no plane ticket required.  While in town, Balllet Hispanico will also teach local dance students a few fresh Latin moves (accompanied by kids who’ve been salsa-ing since our December Anyone Can Dance (& Cook) Camp).
